Terms of Use

Effective September 8, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Carlabby LLC ("we", "us") for using Keyobe. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use Keyobe.

Who can use Keyobe

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You may not use Keyobe if we have previously removed your account for breaking these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us at support@keyobe.com if you think someone else has access to it. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and do not impersonate anyone or create an account on someone else's behalf without their permission.

Content and conduct

You may not post, send, or pass along anything that:

• Sexualises children in any way, or depicts child sexual abuse. This is reported to the authorities.
• Harasses, bullies, threatens, stalks or intimidates any person.
• Attacks or demeans people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any comparable characteristic.
• Depicts, promotes or incites violence, self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
• Is pornographic or sexually explicit.
• Promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organised criminal activity.
• Is illegal, or promotes illegal goods, drugs, weapons, or fraud.
• Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
• Shares someone's private information without their consent.
• Is spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or an attempt to manipulate the network.

You also may not:

• Send sparks to people who have asked you to stop.
• Attempt to identify people whose names the app has deliberately hidden, by any means other than the app's own reveal feature.
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-collect other people's information.
• Interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or try to get around its limits and protections.
• Use the app to build a competing product or dataset.

Reporting, blocking, and what we do about it

Every spark can be reported from inside the app, using the menu in the top corner of the spark. Anyone can be blocked from their profile; blocking stops them being able to send you sparks.

We review reports within 24 hours. Where content breaks these terms we remove it, and we may suspend or terminate the account responsible depending on what it was. Where the content is serious — anything involving children, credible threats, or imminent harm — we act immediately, terminate the account, and report it to the relevant authorities.

We can remove content and end accounts at our discretion when these terms are broken. We are not obliged to review everything posted, and removing one thing does not mean we have reviewed anything else.

Your content

What you make stays yours. To run the app, you give us permission to store, copy, resize and display your content to the people you send it to and to the people further along the chain it reaches — which is the whole function of Keyobe. This permission exists only so we can operate the service; we do not use your content to advertise, and we do not license it to anyone else.

When you delete your account, sparks you started are removed for everyone. Chains you merely passed along keep going without your name on them — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what happens and why.

Purchases

Keyobe offers reveals, which unlock the name of a person already in one of your chains. Reveals can be earned or bought. Purchases are handled by Apple through your App Store account and are governed by Apple's terms as well as these.

A reveal is permanent once granted, and purchases are final. We do not process refunds — Apple does, under its own policy. If you pay for a reveal and something goes wrong on our side so that you do not receive it, write to support@keyobe.com and we will put it right.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. It takes effect immediately and cannot be reversed.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

The app is provided as it is

Keyobe is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that anything you send will reach anyone or spread at all. We are not responsible for the content other people post or for what they do with what you send them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carlabby LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill or profits, arising out of your use of Keyobe. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

Some places do not allow these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app. Continuing to use Keyobe after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
